February is Black History Month! RHMS celebrates Black History Month as a time to recognize the achievements and central roles of African Americans in U.S. History.
The Valentine's Day Social is Friday, February 14th from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Tickets are $5.00 in advance through My Payments Plus or $7.00 at the door. There will be music! Concessions will be sold! You must have a ride home at 5:00 p.m.

Are you in Drama Club? The Drama Club picture for the yearbook will be taken on Monday, February 3rd at 7:45 a.m. Meet in front of Mrs. Henry's classroom and Mrs. Taft's classroom at the end of the 7th grade hallway. This includes both cast and crew for "Last Stop for Christmas" and "Little Red Robin Hood".

Track and Field Tryouts will be the week of February 3rd through February 7th. Students must have a physical and completed athletic registration form in order to tryout.
8th Grade Students interested in playing Football for Richmond Hill High School next year should meet in the cafeteria on Monday, January 27th at 8:15 a.m. Coach Lezotte from RHHS will be here to conduct the meeting.
As the fires continue to spread across Australia, the RHMS Beta club would like to help this country by sending aid to the people that have lost so much during this devastating event. The Beta Club will collect donations from January 13th until January 27th. All proceeds will be delivered to our selected organization by January 29. Thank you in advance for your support!
Mrs. Letson’s ELT competed in a competition over bridge design. The class designed straw bridges using budget constraints to support a water bottle. Students were able to choose from paper straws donated by Teds Montana Grill or Plastic Straws. The groups that were successful with the challenge and the overall winner from the completion have been highlighted. The entire group is pictured showing off their constructed bridges. Coach Shank's 6th grade PE class, assisted by Mr. Mosier and Ms. Cox, learned about Archery as part of the National Archery in Schools Program.
Boys Lacrosse Tryouts begin January 22nd. Conditioning will be at RHMS on January 22nd and 24th until 5:30 p.m. You must have a current physical and have completed the online registration. Check the Lacrosse website for details!
All girls interested in trying out for Girls Lacrosse must speak with Coach Crippen by the end of the day on Wednesday, January 22nd, to ensure that they are eligible to try out.
On Saturday, the Wildcat wrestling Team traveled to Effingham County to defend their Coastal Empire Region traditional champion title. The Wildcats took 30 wrestlers to the competition and came home with 20 medals. The team racked up an impressive 8 gold, 7 silver, and 5 bronze medals, which gave the Wildcats enough points to repeat as region champions for the third consecutive year. With 17 weigh classes at the tournament, the Wildcats had 15 wrestlers compete in the finals. Your individual region champions are Carter Dieterich, Matthew Josefik, Adam Carnenas, Caden Whittaker, DJ Menzie, Trey Bowkett, Jeremiah Jones, and Michael Brown. Congratulations Wildcat Wrestlers.
