Bryan County Schools is currently conducting a district wide lockdown drill. The lockdown is a planned exercise and is not in response to any type of threat. The purpose of the lockdown has been clearly communicated to all students and staff.

February 6th: Bryan County Schools will observe regular dismissal times; however, all after school activities including athletic contests and practices are cancelled for this afternoon. ASP will be closing at 5:00pm.

Our organization employs two types of people – those who teach and those who support those who teach. Just as we recognize exceptional employees who teach in our organization, we want to take the opportunity to also recognize some of our most outstanding staff who support those who teach. Dr. Brooksher’s Student Advisory Council met this morning at Bryan County Middle School. These middle and high school students welcomed Ms. Carole Knight, the Director of School Nutrition, to talk about various aspects of the food service program. Students provided feedback on ways to maintain and enhance the program. They also had collaborative discussions on other district topics.
