Device Depot

Bryan County Schools has established a device depot in north and south Bryan County where student Chromebook devices will be issued and Chromebooks in need of repair will be replaced.  Please read all of the information below carefully.

Operation Times:

The depots will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. Scheduling of appointments can be done by either calling or using an online system.

Operation:

\r\n

Two types of appointments will be available: first time issuance of a device or the pickup of a replacement device.  

\r\n

The parent/guardian/student will get an appointment time by either the phone line or the online app.  The person scheduling the appointment will need to have the student's first and last name, ID number, school, and if this is a first issuance or replacement. 

\r\n

Equipment is verified to be operation prior to assignment. 

\r\n

Replacement equipment will simply be picked up, no broken/non-functioning devices are to be returned until Bryan County Schools calls for the return of all issued equipment.

Device Assignment Procedures:

\r\n

Two tables will be set up inside the lobby.  Procedures for issuance are as follows:

\r\n

1: A parent or legal guardian must be present, ideally the student(s) is/are with them. The acceptable use policy and device condition document are signed prior to issuance. 

\r\n

2.  The device will be placed on one of the tables with the accompanying paperwork, identified by a sheet with the student's number.  All individuals are to maintain a minimum 6 ft. distance from each other. 

\r\n

3.  The parent/legal guardian will sign all paperwork (we ask you bring your own pen) and hold up the signed agreement for a Tech Department employee to photograph and verify.  Once acknowledged, the person may leave with the equipment. 

\r\n

Appointment Structure:

\r\n

Appointments will be available in 15 minute increments and will be able to be booked online or via a phone call to a dedicated number. 

\r\n

The phone will be manned from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. Monday-Friday. Calls outside of that time will require a voice mail be left with the student's name, id number, very brief description of the problem, and a call back number.  The online system is available 24/7. 

\r\n

Persons are to enter from an outside door into the lobby. No entrance will be allowed into the main building.  Markers will be placed at 6 ft. intervals outside and inside the lobby areas.
