Hello All! 08/10/2018 We would like to thank everyone for their part in making the 2018-2019 first week of school a great success!! It has been wonderful getting to see all the new and returning students as they settle into their new classes. We would also like to take this opportunity to remind parents that our morning car line opens at 7:20 and closes at 7:50. This week, there has been very few cars in our drop off line between 7:20 and 7:35; however, after that time, traffic has been quite busy. We would encourage early drop off for any parents, but especially those who have students at LPS and BCES – this would lessen your wait in our car line and ensure that you are able to drop off before the gate closes at 7:50. Any cars in line when the gate closes will need to come into the office and sign their child in for the day. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend – see you on Monday! Dr. Eileen Emerson

Georgia Parent Survey for Georgia Public Schools. The Georgia Parent Survey is given annually as a parent perception indicator to assess academic programs, student supports, and community involvement. The survey is short and contains 24 questions. Parents may complete the survey using their personal computer, smartphone or tablet. For parents that do not have access to the Internet, Lanier Primary School staff will be happy to provide a computer so that the survey can be completed. All parents are encouraged to participate in the Georgia Parent Survey because the data will be used as part of the calculation of the School Climate Star Rating. Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis. The survey will close March 1st, 2018. The Georgia Parent Survey is also available in Spanish. Parents may select the Spanish version within the survey. Results from the Georgia Parent Survey will not be available to the public and will not be posted online. The Georgia Parent Survey link is posted below. Parents, In the interest of student safety and security, please be reminded that car-line tags are required for student pick-up in the car line. If you are picking up a child for someone else, you will need their tag. If you do not have the tag, you will need to come into the front office for pick up. A note from parent/guardian will be required authorizing the pick-up. Additional car-line tags are available at the front office – please let your homeroom teacher know if you need an extra tag. Thank you for your understanding. Dr. Emerson Principal, LPS
